Obituary of Frances Katherine McManus

MCMANUS, Frances "Fran"(Deibert)-61 of Smithville, NJ departed this life on Wednesday September 6, 2017. Her body to return to the earth, her spirit to be at home in Glory with her Lord, and her legacy to live on in the memory of all those she touched. Fran could light up a room like no other; her transparent blue eyes immediately accepted you into her world, her brilliant smile was infectious and radiated joy, and she always had an encouraging word that made everyone she met feel like they were the most important person in the world. On the one hand she had a green thumb that she masterfully used in her garden, and to tend to her beloved orchids. On the other hand a white thumb covered in flour always ready to try out a new recipe for a dessert to share with all. Beside her gardening and baking she cherished her sunny days on the Ventnor beach always bringing an extra measure of warmth when visiting with friends and neighbors. Dear to her heart were all of her friends at the Village of Smithville sharing deep friendships which added to the joy of her life, and certainly her Greentree Church family where she was a member for 39 years and became a part of a family that will reunite for eternity. As the one time owner of Sweet Things in Smithville Fran dispensed joy and happiness with every candy order, and delighted in "Going the extra smile" for everyone. She will be greatly missed by her high school sweet heart and husband of 40 years Bill, and her daughter Kelly (Boyle) and son-in-law Rob and their two children Kaden and Kiley, by her son Bill, and by her son Dan and daughter-in-law Brittany and their three children Carter, Alivia and Easton as well as her loving and extended family. A memorial service will be held at Greentree Church in Egg Harbor Township on Friday September 15, 2017. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am. to 11:00 am. with memorial service to follow. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to Greentree Church.
