So sorry to hear about Danny and to be so late in getting this news. Buddy and Danny were always really great to be around, I’m praying for Danny’s soul Buddy and wish I had been more in touch with Danny at the end… saw him last fall and he was hopeful although sick… the fighting spirit he always had was still there… Danny and I go way back. We used to train together in martial arts. We work together in the casino business. and always considered him my friend and always looked forward to that hige smile, which he seemed to have no matter what… Danny you are gone but not forgotten… love u brother..

Where do I start? From meeting each other from your backyard to my backyard. Riding bikes all over Margate over to the playground in Ventnor on Lafayette Avenue up to the Gallaghers on Fredericksburg and everywhere in between. We did some crazy stuff!! Always laughing having fun.
Waking me up early in the morning calling my brother to go surfing. Just calling from outside, not even knocking on the door, so funny!
Hanging out at the apartment on Washington Avenue. Those were the best memories.
Even though we haven’t seen each other since the late 80s, you will always be in my and my family’s
hearts.
We love you, rest in peace

Trish, I am so sorry for the loss of Danny.
When my brother Billy (Price) and Danny were roommates so long ago, I’m sure you know, it was only trouble. lol so many memories. I am thankful that I in the last couple years, I’ve been able to see him around Northfield and touch base with him and reminisce.
He was always one of a kind with a smile no matter The moment.
My Heart hurts for all of you and your family and he’s at peace. You have many many memories that you are able to smile from your heart when you think of them.
If Billy hasn’t reached out, know that he sent his condolences as well.

Danny was always fun to be around as a teenager growing up in Margate. I posted a scan of our 8th grade class picture not sure how this will turn out not too good on the computer. Danny is down on the Bottom row next to Mike Freund another great friend who passed way to young I am right next to the teacher who was my favorite ever Mr. Diamond Most of us had long hair back in the day. We had more mischievous fun than should have been aloud. My deepest sympathies go out to The whole family especially his wife and kids. I love you brother Dan. Oh my name Chet Shavelson

To Trish, Danny Jr., Erin, Dolores, Buddy, Dennis, Marianne, Noreen and the entire family,
Some of my happiest memories are of spending time at the shore with your family. Danny was just the coolest guy I knew. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope his memory will be a comfort to you in the days ahead.

Noreen, Ed and the entire McCabe family back East-
I was deeply saddened last week, to learn the news of Dan’s passing. Noreen, Ed and their family here have become like family of my own. As a transplant from the DelVal to SoCal- they have welcomed me and we’ve most definitely bonded here- in large part because of our shared Delco and Philadelphian roots. Thru her many stories about Danny from growing up thru his adult life- Noreen had conveyed a spirit in him, to me, where I felt a deep sense of kinship. As though she was actually talking about someone in my own immediate family or about one of my own close friends from back home. And while I never had the opportunity to meet Dan I also felt an even stronger connection to him because of our common battle. And it’s because of this, that I can only hope, I continue to fight myself- with the same courage, ferocity and good spirits that Noreen told me had. And to be certain- he has not lost. Every fighter has their ‘rounds’- some good and sometimes, not so much. But even champions need the rest- between rounds and after the final bell. They will always step back in the ring to wage battle again. Dan’s fight now lives on through his memory and in the lives of all of you- his wife and children, his mom and all of his sisters and brothers. And hopefully- in the inspiration he has given to me also. Nope- his fight’s not lost nor is it over. His corner remains strong- only to grow stronger as his memory lives on and on.
With much love, hope for strength and support for healing….
From out here on the ‘left coast’,
David McClure
