Obituary of Dennis H. Ruley

Dennis Hugh Ruley 66, of Ventnor, passed away on November 25, 2023 after a brief illness. Born May 30, 1957 in Kingston, PA, Dennis was raised in Atlantic City, living on Montpelier Ave. in the Chelsea neighborhood for most of his life before moving to Ventnor. He attended Holy Spirit Grammar School and graduated from Holy Spirit High School in 1977, and Atlantic County Vo-Tech School for culinary arts. Dennis was a talented pastry baker, taking pride in making cheesecakes for family and friends. He was employed by the City of Atlantic City, Department of Public Works and was a member of Our Lady Star of The Sea Church. He loved music, the beach, his collectibles and spending time with his family and friends. Dennis is predeceased by his sister, Ellen Ruley Ferris, and mother Barbara Ruley. He is survived by his father Allen Dennis Ruley and his siblings Mary (Michael) Moyer, Bridget (John) Sauve, Michael Ruley and Jennifer (John) Cibotti; many nieces and nephews, an aunt, several cousins, and friends. He is also survived by his longtime partner Bernadette Tully-Pollack, who was his devoted caregiver. Services and burial will be private.
