Obituary of Barbara A Gerner

Barbara Ann Gerner 84 of Ventnor City and longtime Atlantic City resident, passed peacefully on April 19th, 2023 surrounded by family. Barbara was born to Warren and Margaret Dilworth on June 28, 1938. The second of four girls, Margaret (deceased), Joyce and Sandy. As a teenager, Barbara worked on the world famous Atlantic City Boardwalk, where she once met and sold a hot dog to Frank Sinatra. Barbara worked many years at Spencers Gifts, then in the 90's, began a 22 year career at Bally's Hotel and Casino until she retired. Barbara enjoyed bowling, bingo, and being a member of the Moose Lodge Post 216, and playing her Joker Poker Machine. She was married to Milton Gerner (predeceased October 25, 1988) and raised seven children: Mickey (predeceased), Linda (Kenny) Wilson, Dollyanne (Joe) McCabe, Roseann (Roland) Rissell, Jeffrey Gerner (Pam Keelan), Jimmy Gerner and Cindy (Kyle) Kaukeano; eight Grand children and eight Great-Grandchildren.
