Obituary of Louis G. Babich

Louis G. Babich (Lou) 79 of Margate City, NJ, died unexpectedly on December 22, 2022. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. Louis was born on October 20, 1943 in Curanilahue, Chile (a City south of Santiago, Chile) and resided in Margate, NJ Lou, as he was affectionally known moved to South Jersey when the Casinos first opened. Prior to him moving to New Jersey, he lived in Miami, FL. Lou began his career in the Airline Industry at the age of 17, working for VARIG Airlines, as an Executive Director of Cargo and the International Exportation Division. Lou was a natural in terms of Entrepreneurship, and saw an opportunity in 1965 that led him to move to the United States in 1970. In 1970, Lou moved his entire family from Chile, to the United States, bringing with him his former wife Norma Babich (deceased), daughter Yasna Babich-Tibbitt and son Luis Babich. Lou opened his own Company in 1989, a Transportation Company; Limo Lou. Limo Lou became a well known Transportation Company at the Atlantic City Int'l Airport and abroad, hosting many famous World Leaders and Celebrities. Anyone who knew Lou was touched by his generosity, mischievous humor, positive attitude and his intensity to live life to the fullest without skipping a beat! He was truly a peacemaker and was always a source of positivity. Louis is preceded in death by his parents Marcos Babich and Aida Onate de Babich. He is survived by his two children, Yasna Babich-Tibbitt and Luis G. Babich; son-in-law George Tibbitt; and brothers Guillermo Babich, Marcos Babich, Carlos (Tio Simon) Babich, Richard Babich and sisters Blanca Babich, Betty Babich, and Nancy Babich. A Mass of Christian Burial will Celebrated for Louis Babich 10am TODAY, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church 2651 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City. Relatives and friends may call on his family from 9:00am at the Church. The Rite of Committal will be offered at Holy Cross Cemetery on Route 40 in Mays Landing, following Mass.
