Patsy, as she was known, born December 15, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, was raised in Philadelphia and Ventnor, NJ. She attended Our Lady of Victory and St. James schools, Holy Spirit High School (HSHS), and Atlantic Community College. She was one of the founding members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish and the Irish American Cultural Society, and a proud member of both the Republican and Democratic clubs. She was also the founding president of the Cape-Atlantic Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. She worked in the Guidance Office at HSHS, was the Atlantic County Deputy County Clerk, and Deputy Administrator for the Board of Elections.
Before the term "bucket list" was coined, Patsy let everyone know the three things she wanted to accomplish in her life: represent New Jersey as an elector and cast a vote in the Electoral College, serve as Grand Marshall at the Atlantic City St. Patrick's Day Parade, and attend the Kentucky Derby. She accomplished all three in 2000, 2001, and 2009, respectively.
Patsy is survived by her children; Christine (Tim), Gerry, Kenny, and Caroline (Chris). She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Tricia (Sankar), Rebecca, Zach, Kyle, and Sean; her great-grandchildren Sanjay, Anna, Patrick, and Kirthi as well as Matt (Whitney, Erin, Lucas) and Hayden and Carter. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, and grand nephews and nieces as well as many special friends. She was predeceased by her parents Timothy and Martina McNamara, brother Joseph, husband Mickey, son Tim, and son-in-law Brian.
