Harold Appleget (my Uncle Hap) was a kind, sweet, and gentle man who I was blessed to have had as my Uncle. My deepest condolences go out to my Aunt Joan, John and Joan Marie. I have the most wonderful memories spending time with my Uncle Hap, Aunt Joan, and cousins. My most fondest memory of him was when we would visit and upon our departure from his home he would always wave from his porch until our car was down the street. Today I send a final wave back to my Uncle Hap :(

It saddens me to read this. Just the other day a talk show was talking about statues. I thought Mr. Appleget deserved a statue in Northfield. He certainly deserves one at Birch Grove. I can't think of Northfield sports without thinking of him. He was a true gentleman.

For nearly 30 years I had the privilege of working with Hap. Every single day spent, he'd teach me how to be a better person, unforgettable. Always going the extra mile for everyone, from total strangers on up the list. Incredible, he did everything with grace and artistry, and made it all look effortless. Very few people achieve that, and Hap surpasses them all. A gentleman through and through, an example for us all to remember. To Chick, how could we ever hope for better careers than to have Hap working with us? To Joan, John and Joan Marie, my deepest condolences, I'm speechless beyond that.

To Mrs. Appleget,John, Joan Marie and the rest of the Appleget family I wish to offer my condolences. We all meet people in our lives that have differing levels of influence but there are always a few that stand out for how we all wish we could be like.Mr. Appleget(Hap) was the classiest, logical and thoughtful person I have ever known.Whenever our paths crossed,I always parted with a different outlook and always for the better. The world is now missing one of the great ones!Everyone who met Hap walked away a better person. The Higbee family have nothing but the utmost respect for Hap and his family. RIP

The prayers and condolences from the Friels go out to the Appleget family their friends and loved ones. He is one of a kind. Not many people that you meet in your life will you be able to say that you never heard someone say something bad about Mr Appleget was that for me not one. Always well deserved praise.
He will be sadly missed because of the example he showed all of us what a truly wonderful Father Husband friend and mentor he was. I like many of you are heartbroken over his loss but for me it brings some comfort and solace from the beautiful memories I'm blessed with because of my time spent with such a wonderful man.
RIP HE WALKS WITH GIANTS

Uncle Hap is a legend to me. He was not only a man to admire, but a man we all wish we could be... kind, unselfish and dedicated to his family. I’m lucky to have known Uncle Hap and thankful he is forever a part of my life and family. A Christmas Eve does not go by without thinking of Northfield NJ and Aunt Joan and Uncle Hap - amazing couple and we love you!
God bless you Uncle Hap and I thank you for making my life better. I still have the Ping putter form 8th grade and will cherish every memory in your honor. You are a legend in my heart.
